General info

Payback within 6-24 months after implementation

Our Infrafone cleaners (low-frequency acoustic cleaning) improves the profitability of boilers. This has been achieved thru more efficient soot cleaning in e.g. economizers, air-preheaters and catalysts (SCR’s), with a general payback time of about 6 to 24 months. Traditional soot cleaning technologies such as steam sootblowing, shot cleaning, sonic cleaning (high frequency), and manual cleaning are generally heavily reduced or eliminated in these applications.

Our range of products is the result of our unique knowledge and our customer focus. We calculate the optimal size and design of the acoustic cleaner for each customer’s particular need and the spatial possibilities of each installation.

Idbäcksverket, Nyköping Sweden

A case study and results from our infrasound cleaning installation on a biomass boiler at Idbäcksverket. The reason for installing the Infrasound generators on Idbäcksverket was that the steam soot blowing causing extensive damages to the tube bundles, resulting in unplanned stops for repairs.

Suralaya Power Station, Suralaya Indonesia

There are two size 28 secondary Air Preheaters on Suralaya Power station (APH) and two size 22,5 primary APH on the 400 MW boiler. Infrasound cleaning is installed on one of the secondary APHs. All APHs are equipped with four steam soot blowers each, which were operated every 12 hours.

EVO, Offenbach Germany

A case study and results from our infrasound cleaning installation on a coal-fired boiler at Evo Offenbach. EVO, Offenbach has two 110 MW Babcock-Hitachi boilers installed in 1989 for district heating and power production. These CFB-boilers were intended to be self-cleaning, consequently, no soot-cleaning device was installed.

Nässjö Affärsverk RP12, Nässjö Sweden

A case study and results from our infrasound cleaning installation on a biomass boiler at Nässjö affärsverk. Compressed air soot blowing is installed at Nässjö Affärsverk, but relatively ineffective because of the valves being mounted on the turning chamber, far away from the problem area. This results in the air pressure not reaching the problem area.
